Dr. Keegan O’Donald is a cello teacher and musician based in Chicago, Illinois. He serves as Instructor of Cello at the Northwestern University Music Academy and also maintains a private cello studio.
At the forefront historical performance research, Keegan has presented innovative recitals incorporating nineteenth-century performance practices and the cello music of Johannes Brahms. He frequently performs as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician throughout the United States.
Keegan was previously on the faculty of the University of Illinois Springfield and Millikin University, and he served as Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He has studied cello at Indiana University, DePaul, and St. Olaf College. Keegan completed his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
